The first part of the first mission “illegal Entry” of Armored Core 6 “Fires of Rubicon” is a tutorial, so I won’t explain it. I’ll explain it in the area near the first boss fight, which is famous for its extreme difficulty. I’ll introduce the three places where you check the license, the location of the catapult leading to the first boss fight, and the strategy.

Here, you can think of the enemies other than the three places where you check the license as practice. There is no additional benefit from defeating them. So ignore them, just check the license, go from number 4 on the map below to number 5 with the catapult, and then fight the boss.

Armored Core 6. chapter 1. 『illegal Entry』 walkthrough

🦾Armored Core VI: “Fires of Rubicon”,
Chapter 1. 『Illegal Entry』

⚠️Main Objective (No Battle Log)

In the screenshot below, numbers 1, 2, and 3 are the locations Walter tells you about, number 4 is the location of the Catapult, and number 5 is where you fight the boss.

The order doesn’t matter, but you need to check all 3 licenses. When you get near location 2, the machine that appears in the boss fight will pass by. Let it pass by because it won’t hit you even if you shoot it in advance and it’s a waste of bullets.

The place marked with a yellow square is where 3 light MTs (LMT) with or without shields are deployed. You can hit the LMTs with shields with your blade. There are 3 LMTs at location 1.

Light MT shield type

The area marked with a yellow circle is an LMT equipped with a missile turret. They are annoying enemies in the beginning because they continuously fire missiles, so it is better to defeat them quickly. They are usually located on the rooftops of apartment buildings, but there is one on the rooftop of a low building near location 2.

Light MT with missile turret

When you rise in front of this light MT, shoot missiles, and when this MT is in front or below, shoot it with your rifle to destroy it.

Other than that, tanks, drones, helicopters, and bipedal weapons are all generic weaponry, and there are usually a lot of them around the MT, and sometimes there are only a few.

There are quite a few general weapons around location 3, so sneak up and take out the little guys that follow you, and then you can check the license after you defeat the 4 light MTs at location 3. There are two on the left building, one in front of the license, and one on the right building, as shown below.

Light MTs around number 3

After checking 1, 2, and 3, you must go to location 4. Then, as in the screenshot below, the vertical catapult tutorial will appear and you can go to location 5 for the boss fight. Before that, there will be no response even if you go near the catapult.

💥First Boss Battle

When attacking the first boss, look up from right underneath the helicopter, which is the blind spot of the attack. To do so, when it is far away, you should move to this position using the quick boost.

🎯Lock on the Boss

The bottom left is when the enemy is not locked on and the aim is not right. If you shoot a missile, it will hit when it is right in front of you, but if you shoot with a rifle, it will shoot where there is no enemy.

If you look at the enemy and press the middle mouse button to lock on, it will aim like the screenshot on the bottom right.

Lock-on for boss fights

❌Avoid these areas

As indicated by the ❌ in the screenshot below, if you go to the open space on the left, you will be attacked. You cannot go any further, and the boss will continue to attack from outside the field. In this case, use the building on the right as cover to evade, and wait for the enemy to come into the field.

Anywhere without cover is dangerous.

If you are in the situation below, you will be attacked if you are in front of it. You should evacuate behind the building on the right.

If possible, you should use the surrounding buildings as cover.

👀Look at the bottom of the screen when enemies are out of sight

If the enemy moves to a place you can’t go and you can’t see them like below, check the red dot at the bottom of the screen to see where they are moving. If you don’t see the red dot, they are behind you.

A boss that attacks from outside the field where you cannot go.

Below is a similar case, and in the screenshot on the right below, you can see it somewhat, and from that location, neither the enemy nor you can attack, so don’t waste bullets.

💨Assault Boost + Melee Blade Attack

If you have a lock-on to the boss, and it moves around and stops at a certain location to attack, and you happen to move underneath it, you can approach it with an assault boost,

and when you get close like below, attack with your blade, and you can deal relatively large damage. Depending on how many times you can do this attack, you can defeat the boss more quickly.

When the boss’s health is low, if you attack like this, you can finish him off like this:
