💡Installing Solar Panels + Lighting
The necessary materials can be found easily in places like abandoned camps or bunkers.
📘How to Build Without Materials
Nevertheless, when you try to gather all the materials to build, it can be quite cumbersome, as you can only carry up to three solar panels and golf cart batteries at a time. You’ll need to repeatedly search for materials, store them, and then build, which can get tedious. Therefore, you can use cheat codes by opening the console command window (press ESC, type “cheatstick,” and then press F1 on any screen to bring up the window). The cheat code ‘instantbookbuild on’ allows you to build instantly without materials.
However, because solar panels and golf cart batteries are placed individually where you want them, it seems like you might need to add items separately from the above cheat code, but by entering the cheat code ‘loghack on,’ which allows for infinite use of logs, you can use solar panels infinitely. As for the golf cart battery, you can keep using it infinitely by using only one and still having two available.
☀️Solar Panel Installation
When installing a solar panel on the ground, ensure that the side with the check mark looks like the one below; doing so will result in the installation as shown in the screenshot of the battery installation below.
🔋Installing Batteries
When holding a golf cart battery, the location to place the battery is indicated with dotted lines as shown in the screenshot below.
You can install it on a slanted roof as shown below.
⚡Connecting Wires
To install lighting inside your house, set up a post next to the solar panel as shown below. While holding the wire, look at the post and you will see a dotted arrow appear as shown below.
Click the left mouse button, and the wire will be installed. When you install the wire on the post below, the posts that are close together will be in a connected state.
While looking at the post where you want to install the bulb, connect the wire when the white dotted arrow appears, as seen in the screenshot below.
💡Installing Light Bulbs
While holding the light bulb, look at the post. Click when the downward arrow appears to install the bulb.
🔌Connecting Power
To connect the power, look at the power section with the battery cable connected, and while holding the wire, click when a dotted circle appears as shown in the screenshot below.
Connect the other end of the wire to the location with power. Connectable spots will be indicated by a circle at the end of the dotted line as shown below.
Once the connection is complete, the wire will appear neatly coiled as shown below.
When you look at the installed light bulb in the screenshot, you’ll see a green band around the bulb when it’s powered.
If it’s not powered, it will appear as shown in the screenshot below.
If you don’t like the white light, you can install a wall torch. Sometimes I install both or just the wall torch.
🔌How to Connect Power to Electric Fences
To create an electric fence, hold the wire and click when the arrow appears on the fence as shown below.
When connecting the wire from the power source to the fence, if the connection point is far away, the circle indicator may not be visible, and you won’t be able to connect.
Move closer to the connection point, and when the circle indicator appears as shown below, click the left mouse button to establish the connection. Once connected, you’ll hear a “whirring” sound, and if the connection is broken, you’ll hear a “buzzing” sound.
The state of the power connected to the electric fence is shown below. You can pass through connected wires without damaging them.
🪫How to Check for Power Shortages
When the area where the panel connects to power is shown in dark pink, as in the screenshot below, it indicates that the connected power is insufficient.
You can either connect additional sources nearby or install one separately at each required location.
💡Location of the Spotlight Blueprint
The spotlight is located in the small cave (Spotlight Blueprint) accessible by going to coordinates ‘goto 1465.6 178.1 -655.3’. It is inside the cave marked with a blue question mark near the residential bunker.
💡How to Install
Place the lights in your desired locations and connect the power with wires to turn them on. There is no separate switch. As shown in the screenshot on the left below, install them at both low and slightly higher positions to illuminate a wide area brightly.
💡Range of Spotlights
After installation, this is the state during the day and
how it illuminates after dark. Enjoy the game!
