📌Dead Island 2 Save File Location
Epic Account:
To find the location of your saved save file, simply drag and paste the content below into the address bar of your file explorer and you’ll be taken directly to the folder. Use this in case you ever uninstall the game, format your PC, or backup your save file.

Question: Is it possible that Steam can’t import my saved data from Epic?
Answer from “playersupport@plaion.com”: Regarding your desire to transfer saved files from Epic to Steam, we understand your interest. However, at present, this transfer isn’t feasible due to differences in game builds. Rest assured, our development team is actively exploring potential solutions to enable this transfer in the future.
📌How to fix DI2 on Steam won’t quit
When quitting the game, if you go to the main menu and then force quit the game with “ALT + F4”, it will save the game and Steam will close it after a while.
Quitting from the game menu still does not work.
📌How to skip the intro video
If the folder where the game is installed is on the C drive,
Epic account:
C:\Epic Games\DeadIsland2\DeadIsland\Content\Movies
Steam account:
C:\Steam\steamapps\common\DeadIsland2\DeadIsland\Content\Movies
Alternatively, delete or rename the mp4 files in “DeadIsland2\DeadIsland\Content\Movies” inside the folder where you installed the game as shown below. When you launch the game, you should be greeted with the screen shown in the screenshot to the right below.

Creature Comforts: After completing this side quest, the rewards for opening the lockboxes were all superior, but this has changed slightly.
If you trade with Dougie the Trader on Ocean Avenue and then progress to “Plumbing the Depths” in the Story Quest, the rewards in the lockboxes will all be superior, with some exceptions.
It’s still unclear, but as of April 15, 2024, scenarios are becoming slightly more randomized.
